A new multi-family development project could be coming to a property near the Coach House Diner in North Bergen.
During its meeting on October 28, the North Bergen Zoning Board of Adjustment approved plans for a residential development with a green roof over two levels of parking at 803 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, according to meeting results published by the municipal government.
The exact number of units that the development would include if constructed is uncertain. The meeting agenda and results documents list that 32 units are proposed, but site plans from Union City-based Pereiras Architects Ubiquitous that were published with the agenda describe plans for a 24-unit project with 15 one-bedroom units and nine two-bedroom units.
The application, which was first reported on by HudPost, is associated with 803 Kennedy, LLC. Property sales records associate the firm with an address in Parsippany.
Located between 8th Street and Paterson Plank Road, the property is situated across the street from Union City and just a few blocks away from Jersey City. The premises were previously used by Adventure Auto Sales and A&E Auto Group as a car dealership.
This area is served by buses to Hackensack, East Rutherford, Secaucus, Hoboken, Ridgefield, Journal Square, and Manhattan.
