The executive board of the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency approved local developer Myneni Properties to build and operate a 120-unit mixed-use complex at 682 NJ-440. The executive board said the 12-story project includes ground floor commercial space.
JCRA first designated Myneni Properties to develop the site in 2015.
Myneni’s mixed-use project will be located within walking distance to the Hudson Mall, the West Side Avenue Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station and the West Side Avenue business district.
This site currently contains a small shopping center with a liquor store and check cashing store among other businesses.
Jersey Digs previously reported on Fields Construction’s development at 16 Bennet Street, a five-story, 63-unit apartment project nearby.
The West Side neighborhood is also set to add 600 units immediately adjacent to the West Side light rail station. Jersey Digs previously reported on the sale of 400 Claremont Avenue by Synres Chemical for $17m.
