Georgia-based real estate firm Invesco Real Estate recently acquired a 217-unit apartment building in Hoboken. The firm purchased the property at 1000 Jefferson Avenue from New York-based Clarion Partners, which acquired the complex in 2008.
A report in Multi-Housing News says the property consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 695 to 1,455 square feet. In-unit amenities include nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and stainless-steel appliances. Complex amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, rooftop deck and a parking garage with 217 spaces.
The apartment complex’s website shows apartments currently available start at $4,000 per month.
The property is within walking distance of the Ninth Street/Congress Street station on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, ShopRite of Hoboken, Columbus Park, Washington Park and Northwest Resiliency Park. The commercial corridors on Washington Street and 14th Street are also close to the complex.
Both the Holland and Lincoln tunnels are within two miles of the apartment complex.
Brokerage firm JLL represented Clarion Partners in the transaction. JLL did not disclose a sale price for the property. The Hudson County Register has not made the transaction documents public as of July 29.
Tax records from the Hudson County Board of Taxation show the complex has an assessed value of $15.5 million.
The property last sold for $116.2 million, or $535,348 per unit, according to Multi-Housing News.
While Invesco’s latest acquisition in the Garden State is an apartment complex, the firm invests across asset classes throughout the state.
RE-NJ reported in August 2025 that Invesco and Morristown-based Hampshire Cos. sold a 221,000-square-foot warehouse in Teterboro for approximately $75 million. That building, at 333 North Street, was acquired by Hampshire and Invesco around spring 2023, when JLL announced it had sourced $39 million in acquisition financing for the warehouse.
CoStar reported in June 2023 that Invesco also purchased the West Essex Logistics Center in Livingston for $98.5 million.
RE-NJ also reported that Invesco sold the Paramus Junction retail center in Paramus in 2019 and acquired the 153-unit apartment building at 1255 Magie Ave – known as Canter Green – in October 2022, one year after the apartment complex was completed.
