A familiar name in the Jersey City bagel business has opened another location, this time in Bayonne.

A Wonder Bagels store has opened its doors at 1347 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, just across the city limit from the Greenville section of Jersey City. The space, which is within the Family Dollar Plaza, was previously occupied by the No. 1 Chinese Restaurant. The new location opened up shop a little over a month ago and is the sixth bagel place to open in this Hudson County city.

There are currently six other Wonder Bagels locations in the region, one of which is situated a few miles away from the new store in the Bayonne Crossing plaza. The business is open daily and serves breakfast and lunch and was ranked as the best bagel shop in North Jersey by The Record. Plus, according to the company website, additional locations are on the way, but it is not listed where specifically those stores would be.

  1. I don’t get how this place keeps growing..it’s almost as big of a mystery as why people stand in the ridiculous line at the Jersey Ave store for such average food

  2. It’s a “Wonder” this location stays in business as the customer service there is extremely poor. I went
in to place an order on a Sunday morning and all of the workers stepped into the back room and I was
not waited on at all. One guy even went as far to say, I don’t work here” but was behind the counter.
As I turned around to leave, another worker yelled out, “Have a nice day” and all he got from me was
the finger. Will never go there again since all of the workers there need more “Customer Service”
