A new Italian restaurant is slated to open at The Riverwalk at Port Imperial in West New York.
A company named Barbieri WNY, LLC applied for a liquor license in order to open Gioia Modern Italian Kitchen and Bar at 40-1 Riverwalk Place in the Hudson County town, according to a public notice.
The address in question is just a few yards away from the Hudson River and was previously used by Lusso Pizza Bar & Grill.
A social media account promoting Gioia says that the business will be the sister restaurant of Salute Brick Oven Bistro, which is located in Montclair Center, and will offer pizza, pasta, steak, cocktails, and a raw bar.
