A new townhouse community in Monmouth County is accepting applications for its affordable housing component through the end of this month as the property continues to gain its first residents.

A new development from Toll Brothers in Manalapan called The Clover at Canter Square has a total of 320 units, with 30% set aside as affordable housing. That means 96 affordable rentals will be made available later this year at the development at 1100 Equestrian Way.

Those interested can apply here if they meet the income requirements listed in the application. One-bedroom units at the property are going for as low as $791 per month for those who qualify, while three-bedroom units are leasing at $2,192 per month.

Veterans and residents of Mercer, Monmouth, or Ocean counties will receive preference for units at the development, which includes a slew of resort-style amenities. Perks at the property include a large outdoor swimming pool with a clubhouse, a children’s play area, and a fitness center.

Prospective tenants can apply for apartments through Affordable Homes New Jersey through August 3. Those eligible will be selected through a lottery process, the date of which has not yet been announced.
