Last month, the travel company Expedia released their list of the country’s 10 most walkable cities, and interestingly enough, Jersey City was among them. Taken into account were each city’s weather, walk score, and overall “travel vibes.”

Jersey City is noted as an up-and-coming city for young professionals looking for an affordable alternative to NYC. The easy access to NYC, abundance of international eats, and waterfront scene contributed to the ranking. A walkable highlight mentioned was the over 1200-acre Liberty State Park and its Empty Sky Memorial.

Other cities that made the list: Miami, FL; Madison, WI; Portland, OR; Coronado, CA; Honolulu, HI; Jackson, WY; Long Beach, CA; Key West, FL; and Arlington, VA. The full article, written by travel writer Kohleun Adamson, can be found here.
