One of Jersey City’s largest shopping facilities is getting three new tenants and appears to be losing a fast-food spot as the overhaul of the Hudson Mall continues.

The property, located on Route 440, spans 383,000 square feet and includes anchor tenants such as Staples, along with many smaller retailers. The largest space in the facility, which will be turning the lights back on, spans 37,000 square feet and will be home to Burlington in the coming months.

Burlington will be taking up residences the southwestern portion of the mall, while a new Home Goods spot will be setting up shop in 30,000 square feet next to the existing Marshall’s store.

Clothier Ashley Stewart is also headed to the Hudson Mall, where it will open in 4,700 square feet of vacant space next to an Old Navy store.

While less heavily trafficked than the Newport Centre Mall, the Hudson Mall has been a mainstay of Jersey City’s West Side for decades. The complex was purchased by Urban Edge Properties about a decade ago for $43 million.

The mall appears to be losing one of its fast-food restaurants. The space currently occupied by a Taco Bell at the mall is officially listed as “available” on Urban Edge’s website, although the restaurant is still open, and no possible closing date has been announced.
