Greene Chutney Grill is Looking for a New Owner

It appears Greene Chutney Grill is up for sale. For those who haven’t been, it’s an Indian inspired fast casual restaurant. Think Chipotle but with Indian flavors. This is the original and only location, however the ad says there’s a possibility to franchise the concept.

It’s situated in a prime location on Greene Street and just a block from the Exchange Place PATH. With such a bustling weekday lunch crowd it has the potential to be quite successful. On Yelp it has over 120 reviews and maintains a solid 4 stars. The most recent review from March 30th said they went and found a sign on the door saying it was closed for renovations.

According to the listing, the sale includes all the equipment and fixtures, the name and branding, and some inventory. They claim a gross income of $510k annually and are asking $325k. I personally have always liked the place. Let’s hope someone scoops this up and brings it up to its full potential.

3-Bed w/ Parking in Jersey City

A total gem for sale in Jersey City’s trendy Bergen-Lafayette, 60 Lafayette is everything you’re looking for.

  1. Place has great food, but seems to not manged at anywhere close to its fullest potential…they used to do delivery on nights, but for the past year or so only seem to be open for lunch. Hope they find a buyer…

  2. Um….why would anyone want to franchise a failed business?

The space and location is dynamite – but literally ANY OTHER CUISINE would be more successful here. The vast majority of people dont want Indian food in a upper class area.

They claim to of made $10k week? (prob more like $6-7K) The right food offering, night & weekend offerings and community marketing they could do over double that, easy.
