A fresh omakase-style restaurant from an experienced sushi chef is officially open for business as Oda Omakase has launched out of a cozy Downtown Jersey City space.

The new eatery comes courtesy chef JP Adora, who formerly helmed the kitchen at fellow Downtown sushi spot East Hana. Oda Omakase has set up shop at 538 Jersey Avenue, the former KoroKoro space.

The restaurant narrows the focus of the sushi world into an omakase-style experience, where diners trust the chef to create a multiple course menu from the freshest fish. The seasonal tasting menu at Oda Omakase features warm and cold appetizers, premium nigiri, sushi, and a dessert.

Oda Omakase is now open Thursday through Sunday with seatings at 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Space is limited at the restaurant, so reservations can be made through Open Table.
