The Food Allergy Institute (FAI) is opening its first East Coast location in Hoboken as part of a larger plan to expand its proprietary Tolerance Induction Program® beyond California. The Hoboken clinic at 79 Hudson Street has begun seeing patients and will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Hoboken and a party at American Dream this month.
FAI’s Tolerance Induction Program is a proprietary (and occasionally controversial) treatment plan that helps food allergy sufferers build lasting tolerance to foods, rather than avoiding them. The company uses AI to track patient progress and predict individualized treatment benchmarks, working toward “food freedom.” FAI claims 99% of patients who finish the program achieve remission-based results.
“Families across the New York and New Jersey area have been asking for access to this program for years,” commented Dr. Inderpal Randhawa, Founder and CEO of the Food Allergy Institute. “Opening in Hoboken means we can finally bring that care to them directly, in their own community.”
Dr. Randhawa started FAI in 2015 and saw an opportunity to expand FAI to the greater New York metropolitan area and ultimately nationwide. The FAI team has been busy preparing the Hoboken location for opening by setting up systems to transfer and schedule local patients, coordinating insurance, and reaching out to the local community.
The official ribbon cutting is set for Friday, October 16th. Hoboken Mayor Emily Jabbour and the Hoboken City Council have all been invited. FAI will also celebrate its East Coast expansion with a Bringing Food Freedom East celebration on Saturday, October 16th at American Dream Mall.
