A Bergen County multi-family housing development set to open this summer is now accepting applications for their affordable units and the town of Park Ridge is slated to welcome new residents soon.

Those who qualify can apply for an affordable housing lottery at Woodland Square in Park Ridge, a modern development slated to open in June. The project contains 68 income-restricted apartments in the community’s Park Ridge phase, which is set to come online after a portion in the neighboring town in Montvale opened in 2024.

The minimum income qualifications for the soon-to-be-available units range from $24,184/year for a one-bedroom up to $68,023 for a three-bedroom unit in the building. The majority of the affordable units in the development, 34 of them, have two bedrooms.

All applications must be submitted by 1 p.m. on April 20 to be included in the random selection process. The lottery will take place approximately 15 to 20 days after the application deadline, and the waiting list may close after that date.

Applicants who live or work in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic and Sussex counties will receive preference in the selection process. While the development’s upcoming portion is in Park Ridge, the address of the complex is officially listed as 12 Van Riper Road in Montvale.

Applications can most easily be submitted through PiazzaNJ’s website or directly through email at [email protected]. Those interested in assistance filling out the application can call (609) 786-1100 and dial ext. 300 for further support.
