A beachside block that was once home to a modest block of apartments is currently being transformed into what aims to be Wildwood’s premier hotel destination when it launches in the coming months.
Situated at 3000 Boardwalk at the intersection with Glenwood Avenue, The Wild Resort took quite a bit of planning and had more than a few false starts to get off the ground. But construction finally ramped up last year, and the 75-room luxury hotel is on schedule to open for the warmer months.
The five-story resort comes courtesy of developer Solly Levy Baghdadi and Wildwood Hospitality Group LLC, who are based in Monmouth Junction. The group purchased the property back in 2022 for $6.2 million.

The future hotel will operate under the InnZenn brand, which also runs the nearby Oceanic Hotel. Guest accommodations at The Wild Resort will range from hotel rooms to luxury suites with balconies, including 10 presidential suites set to boast private outdoor Jacuzzis overlooking the beach.
Additional amenities will include a fitness center and a gift shop showcasing Wildwood memorabilia, both surface and underground parking, and a second-floor restaurant and outdoor pool. The design of the property will feature a more modern look, with murals along the north and south sides of the property.

The redevelopment of the property will replace a row of boardwalk frontage stores that had existed in the former apartment complex. Upcoming tenants for the hotel will include a Starbucks, an It’s Sugar candy store, and an outpost of Angelo’s, a local family-owned pizzeria.

When operational, The Wild Resort will be the first boardwalk frontage hotel development on the boardwalk in 25 years since Montego Bay in North Wildwood. While an official opening date has not been announced, the property could welcome its first customers as early as late this spring.
