A Jackson, New Jersey, developer will appear before the Voorhees Zoning Board of Adjustment in December to seek approval for a 126,000-square-foot senior apartment complex.
The three-story, 117-unit project is planned on vacant land in front of the SpringHill Suites hotel in the Camden County town, according to plans before the zoning board.
In 2024, the zoning board granted developer FP Voorhees LLC/Fernmoor Living a use variance. FP Voorhees now seeks preliminary and final major site plan approval.

Several residential projects have been approved or are awaiting Township review in recent months.
This month, the Planning Board approved a project to repurpose the former and now-vacant Four Echelon Plaza office building near the former Echelon Mall into 178 market-rate apartments.
In June, the Planning Board approved a 60-unit, 100% affordable apartment complex in an AMC movie theater parking lot about 500 feet from where the FP Voorhees project is sited.
FP Voorhees estimates in a traffic report that the independent living complex on Voorhees Drive would generate 188 in-and-out trips on weekdays.
Zoning board engineer Bennett A. Matlack of Artheon said in his review that the application included no commitment to affordable housing and estimated 24 of the units would need to be affordable.
Jeffrey Fernbach of Jackson is listed as the only owner of a 10% or larger interest in FP Voorhees LLC. Voorhees Hotel Associates of Horsham, Pennsylvania, owns the property.
