Another warehouse could be constructed off an interstate highway in the Mercer County suburbs.

Hamilton Township’s municipal government has received plans that call for a warehouse to be built at 1384 Yardville Hamilton Square Road, a 10.21-acre property located just north of I-195 around eight miles from downtown Trenton. The address in question includes the Trent Box Corporation site.

The proposed complex would consist of 91,600 square feet of warehouse space, 2,000 square feet of office space, an underground basin, and a wet pond, according to a landscape rendering from Maser Consulting.

Unlike other recent industrial projects in Central New Jersey, a March 15 letter from Colliers Engineering & Design to Hamilton Township noted that this “facility will not be used as a fulfillment center.”

Site plans released by Hamilton Township show that if approved, the building would be 45 feet tall and that 43 parking spaces would be provided on the premises, though 131 spaces would typically be required for a development of this sort.

This matter is on the agenda for the Hamilton Township Planning Board’s next meeting, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 25, at 6:00 p.m. over Zoom. 1384 Yardville, LLC of Manasquan is listed as the project applicant.

Note to readers: The dates that applications are scheduled to be heard by the Hamilton Township Planning Board and other commissions are subject to change.
