An emerging town along the bank of the Passaic River has welcomed a new eatery with an esteemed pedigree as Keepers Restaurant is officially open for business in Harrison.
Mayor James Fife held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 17 for the restaurant, which is located at 1100 South 5th Street, just steps from the entrance of Sports Illustrated Stadium. Keepers is a partnership between developer Advance Realty and Episcope Hospitality on the ground floor of The Wyldes.
Jersey Digs reported on the restaurant’s impending arrival earlier this year, and the launch has been highly anticipated. Led by David Morton of the renowned Morton’s Steakhouse family, Episcope Hospitality is known for creating exceptional food and beverage experiences nationwide, with venues in New York City, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, and beyond.

“Keepers is designed to be more than just a restaurant; it’s where the neighborhood connects,” said Daniel Orrison of Episcope Hospitality. “Our location next to Sports Illustrated Stadium, and our partnership with Advance Realty, allow us to create a place where people come together, whether for pre-game meals, post-work cocktails, or a catch-up with friends.”
The menu at Keepers showcases elevated American comfort food with dishes like a hot honey chicken sandwich, steak frites, soft pretzel bites, or a classic wedge salad. The food is complemented by craft cocktails and a thoughtfully curated list of beer and wine.
The space includes both bar and dining room seating, plus a private event space that can accommodate up to 50 guests. The restaurant’s name is both an homage to the goalkeeper and a reminder of something worth holding onto.

For early risers, Keepers also operates a retro coffee window in the mornings, pouring espresso, signature iced teas, and all the neighborhood favorites. The coffee bar is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., while the full restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday, with a happy hour on Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The opening of Keepers is a key milestone in Advance Realty’s broader vision for the 35-acre Riverbend District, which includes previous developments Steel Works and Cobalt Lofts. The neighborhood is just a short walk from the rebuilt Harrison PATH station and has transformed over the years from its former post-industrial landscape.
“Keepers represents the next step in our vision to make the Riverbend District a true destination for both residents and visitors,” said Dan Cocoziello, Principal and COO of Advance Realty Investors. “With Episcope Hospitality as our partner, we’re delivering a standout culinary experience that elevates the neighborhood and enhances the community we’re building in Harrison and beyond.”
