Eighty Twenty Smash Burger, a popular pop-up concept that launched during the pandemic, has found a permanent home for their burgers and fries in Westwood, Bergen County. Located inside B&S Kitchen at 48 Westwood Ave, the fast-casual restaurant concept offers dine-in and online ordering for takeout.

The restaurant is known for its ‘Eighty Twenty Smasher,’ a smashed burger comprised of 80/20 beef, Vidalia onions, American cheese, and house special sauce on a Martin’s potato roll. Other offerings include curly fries, onion rings, veggie burgers, and churros with caramel sauce for dessert.

Eighty Twenty is committed to sourcing high-quality ingredients from trusted vendors. Their popular Spicy Glizzy — a beef/pork natural casing hot dog — is crafted by nearby Karl Ehmer Meats in Hillsdale, NJ.

“The move into B&S is an exciting proposition for the brand,” says co-founder Matthew Borgersen, “Having a physical location will allow us the opportunity to grow and experiment in ways we couldn’t as a pop-up”.

Borgersen is a fine dining executive chef and a Westwood native. Having worked in kitchens during his teen years, he grew up in the shadows of numerous famous slider joints. Eighty Twenty is an homage to those burgers, his own interpretation of a true Jersey classic.

Eighty Twenty is a BYO venue, and its current hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 6-10 pm and Sundays from 5-9 pm.
