Cliffside Park, the borough “On Top of The Palisades,” is just north of North Bergen and west of Edgewater, rising high over the Lincoln Tunnel and in the shadow of the George Washington Bridge. It offers stunning and sweeping views of New York City and is quickly becoming a New Jersey Hudson River Gold Coast destination as developers discover what many locals have known all along.

“Cliffside Park is one of these hidden treasures along the New Jersey Gold Coast that feels suburban in nature, yet is just minutes from Manhattan and the vibrant dining, shopping, and nightlife destinations along the Hudson River,” said Eugene Cordano, Executive Director of Sales in New Jersey for Halstead, one of the top residential real estate brokerages in the region.

    • You are right, this is such nonsense! Cliffside was a great little town but over the past 15 years has deteriorated. The Town Center will add more traffic, congestion – no place to park for local shop patronage and there are no plans to make it easier. The town lost at least 10 years of taxes with the Town Center staying a pit for so many years and the residents had to make up the difference. The new building on Gorge blocks many people’s view of the skyline…it is simply too high. How much grace are the construction companies getting on their taxes? Who are the investors…anyone on the town council or the Mayor? Do tell.

      • So sad what happened to CP, I moved out in 2003, but my heart will always be there. Thanks Calabrese for ruining this beautiful community. So right, congested, and the jitneys drove me crazy. Also right that it must be someone in real estate, and they don’t show the real town.

  1. I grew up on Nagle Street in Cliffside Park and miss it still today. I’m still in touch with many of my friends who we’re neighbors back then. A very close-knit town
