A mixed-use development that’s a stone’s throw away from several other projects in Hoboken’s northwest area should see completion sometime early next year, another sign that the city’s residential growth is officially moving full speed ahead.

Last week, Weehawken Mayor Richard F. Turner joined Lennar, one of the nations largest home builders, to cut the ceremonial ribbon on 1200 Avenue at Port Imperial, a boutique collection of luxury condominiums.

In May, Bayonne’s planning board approved a new development project at 172 Avenue F. Now the developer behind it has listed the fully approved project is for sale. The turnkey development site comes with plans for a six-story, 18-unit residential building at the corner of Avenue F and East 24th Street.

A new block-long rental building in Hoboken’s emerging northwest is slated to start leasing in the Fall, an opening that will help fill a development gap in the neighborhood that has existed for years.
