Last May two iconic Jersey Shore motels were combined and reborn as Madison Resort Wildwood Crest. The Oceanview Motel and its neighbor, the Royal Hawaiian Motel, were transformed and unified into the largest new resort in Cape May County. Located at 7201 Ocean Avenue in Wildwood Crest, the new hotel boasts over 200 guest rooms, two restaurants, beach access and two swimming pools.
Just months after opening, this new vacation destination received a top honor as the #1 Best New Hotel in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the first New Jersey hotel, and the first ever from the South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia region, to win this esteemed award. 18 hotels across the nation were nominated. Despite tough competition, Madison Resort Wildwood Crest came out on top.
The journey began when the Madison Resorts team purchased the Oceanview in 2022 and the Royal Hawaiian in 2023. Both legendary properties had hosted generations of vacationers since originally opening in the 1960s, but were in need of a 21st-century makeover. After $54 million in renovation and reconstruction the new Madison Resort Wildwood Crest was ready for the next generation. The new resort retained the vintage sixties vibe, but updated everything for the modern traveler.

Madison Resort brought a new energy to the Wildwood Crest community with a lineup of special events.
