You know him as “The Situation” from MTV’s The Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore Family Vacation, but Mike Sorrentino is ready for his second act. The reality superstar recently announced that he is launching his own treatment and addiction facilities with the first center opening in New Jersey in 2025.

“The name of the facility is going to be Archangel Centers and that would make me St. Michael, and I am the archangel,” declared Sorrentino in a TMZ interview.

“If you had told me 10 years ago that the U.S. government would send me to prison, strip me of my passport and voting rights, and hit me with millions in penalties, I would’ve thought it was game over,” the 42-year-old Sorrentino posted on Instagram. “But here I am—living proof that the comeback is always greater than the setback.”

Sorrentino has struggled with his own legal and substance abuse issues, spending 8 months in federal lockup for tax evasion totaling $8.9 million. He told Us Weekly, “I had an obsessive personality and everything I did was zero or a hundred. Once you get into that life of excess, whether it’s drugs, women, money, success, a lot of people don’t make it out.”

Inspired by the success and powerful response to his 2023 memoir Reality Check: Making the Best of The Situation – How I Overcame Addiction, Loss, and Prison, Sorrentino plans to leverage his 9 years of sobriety and hopes to pay it forward. The Archangel Centers’ facilities will offer treatment focusing on “holistic healing” for adults and adolescents. Services will include “detox, therapy, group support, and aftercare, all rooted in compassion, understanding, and hope.”

According to the official press release “Archangels Centers represents the culmination of his [Sorrentino’s] personal recovery journey and professional aspirations.” His wife, Lauren, shares his vision of helping others, “providing hope and assistance to those in need. Together, they are committed to creating a facility that embodies their shared values of compassion and resilience.”

“Against all odds, I turned my life around,” Sorrention posted on Instagram. “Today, I’m happily married with three amazing kids, a published author, nine years sober, and about to launch my own treatment centers: @thearchangelcenters. What once seemed impossible is now my reality.”
