UPDATE: Jersey City made it to the final round! We now go head to head with the Financial District. Voting ends January 2, let’s win this thing! Vote for Jersey City here!
Curbed Cup is back, and thanks largely in part to your votes last time, Jersey City has made it to the next round! We managed to beat Greenpoint by a large margin, and made it into Curbed’s “Elite Eight.”
Our competitor this time? Manhattan’s South Village. If you’ve never heard of this neighborhood before, it’s because it didn’t exist. Just last week, the Landmarks Preservation Commission officially voted to make the Sullivan Thompson Historic District NYC’s 140th historic district. Certainly, Jersey City has had a better year than a neighborhood that didn’t ‘officially’ exist until last week.
In our humble opinion, Jersey City is clearly more worthy of moving forward. Make sure to vote and share now! Polls close in less than 24 hours.
