This Halloween, Jersey City will experience a gala like none other. Presented by The Costume Fairies, Spectral Gala will transform a 129-year-old cathedral into a “beautifully creepy, creepily beautiful” Halloween ball.
Spread out over two floors, the event welcomes guests into the cathedral’s crypt before heading upstairs for the big main floor reveal. Dance the night away with haunted beats, eerie performances and dazzling displays.
Be sure to appear in your best-dressed costume to not only fill the crowd with envy but for a chance to win prizes in the costume contest.
Tickets are on sale now and include free beer courtesy of NJ Beer Company, wine, sweets from Caked, and light eats from Orale Mexican Kitchen. For the cocktail-inclined, 3rd and Vine will be hosting a cash bar.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to York Street Project and Cathedral Hall Restoration Fund.
Spectral Gala is the first edition of what will undoubtedly become Jersey City’s most anticipated Halloween event. Where else can you party all night in a 129-year-old cathedral? Don’t miss it!

About The Costume Fairies
Started by mother-daughter team Bettina Makley and Natalie Miniard, The Costume Fairies are well known amongst their circle for throwing elaborate Halloween bashes. In years past, the duo has thrown parties around Jersey City on a more intimate level. But as the parties became more popular, they outgrew their venues. After a brief hiatus, The Costume Fairies are back and they’ve found the perfect venue to host a truly spook-tacular Halloween ball.
