A developer with a major Garden State footprint is writing a new chapter as 6,200 apartments in New Jersey undergo a rebrand.
Kushner Real Estate (KRE) has officially introduced Northern Chapter Company, or “Chapter” for short, to a collection of 13 New Jersey communities they’ve built. The portfolio includes seven communities in Jersey City, plus Bayonne, East Hanover, Hopewell, Madison, Marlboro, and Rockaway.
The Chapter brand aims to establish shared standards for resident service, hospitality, and community programming. While residents can expect a consistent level of service and hospitality across the portfolio, each property will still maintain its own distinct identity rooted in its surroundings.
“While we take great pride in developing, owning and managing a variety of residential communities, what matters most is how we show up for our residents,” said Jonathan Kushner, President of KRE. “Chapter reflects that commitment in a more unified way across our portfolio.”
As part of the launch, Chapter has introduced their motto “Everyday Elevated.” The brand also debuted a new visual identity featuring a bookmark-inspired emblem, which is intended to symbolize the memorable life chapters residents create in their buildings.
“We want Chapter to be recognized not only for the buildings we create, but for the experiences people have in them,” said Marc Kushner, Chief Design Officer of KRE. “Our goal is to create homes and communities that people remember long after they’ve lived there. This brand helps articulate the standards we already hold ourselves to and the vision that will guide us moving forward.”
Chapter communities in Jersey City include 18 Park, 225 Grand, 235 Grand, 351 Marin, 485 Marin, Grove Pointe, and Journal Squared. KRE plans to expand the Chapter portfolio as additional residential communities debut or integrate into the brand.
