Officials in a Somerset County borough could potentially approve plans for a new development project this week.

The Bound Brook Planning Board is scheduled to hear an application regarding a proposed 42-unit apartment complex during a meeting this Thursday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m., according to a legal notice. The hearing, which is being held because of developer Triad Management & Consulting, LLC’s application for Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval, is expected to be streamed over GoToMeeting.

The residential project in question could be constructed at 209 East Second Street, which is situated at the corner of Mountain Avenue across from Bound Brook’s post office. The site is within walking distance of the Bound Brook stop on New Jersey Transit’s Raritan Valley Line along with bus service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Located not far from Community Middle School, the Main Street business district, and the Bound Brook Memorial Library, the property was previously home to Mohring’s Auto Maintenance.

Filings from the New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services indicate that a company named Triad Management & Consulting, LLC was registered in 2010 out of Verona.

Note to readers: The dates that applications are scheduled to be heard by the Bound Brook Planning Board and other commissions are subject to change.
