Overview
West Orange Township is seeking a qualified full-time or part-time Building Inspector (HHS) to perform duties in accordance with the State Uniform Construction Code. Salary is commensurate with experience; the current range is $57,840 to $96,400 annually. West Orange is a Civil Service municipality and an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Township will consider interlocal transfers.
Responsibilities
- Review construction plans for compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code
- Conduct field inspections
- Interact with the public in the office
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in building inspection or related field
- Valid Building Inspector License HHS Level issued by the N.J. Department of Community Affairs
- Multiple UCC licenses, including the Construction Official license, preferred
- Valid N.J. driver’s license required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $57,840 – $96,400 annually, commensurate with experience. Position is available as full-time or part-time.
