In honor of Earth Day last Sunday, the 3rd Annual Great Jersey City Clean-Up will be this Saturday, April 28. The event is hosted by Keep Jersey City Beautiful (KJCB) which is the first and only Garden State affiliate of the Keep America Beautiful (KAB) initiative — “The nation’s longest-running non-profit devoted to litter reduction, increasing recycling and greening initiatives, and neighborhood beautification.”
The Clean-Up is divided into Wards and volunteering is easy. In 2017, the 2nd Annual Great Jersey City Clean-Up volunteers valiantly collected 30 tons of trash and seven tons of recycling. 1,400 people and 55 organizations participated.
Cleaning supplies will be provided as well as breakfast and swag, including a free t-shirt. Free tree saplings will even be distributed. Let’s clean-up, Jersey City! Click here to register.
