A Camden resin maker that treats drinking water and other liquids on Monday announced a $30 million expansion that will add 100 jobs to its Camden workforce of 259.
ResinTech Inc., which moved to Camden from West Berlin, Camden County, in 2020, reported that the new 34,500-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility will be on the east end of its 27-acre property at 1801 Federal Street.
The Camden Planning Board has approved the project, which ResinTech said is expected to create 113 construction jobs.
A family business, ResinTech will add to its original 170,000-square-foot headquarters and plant, plus a 25,000-square-foot warehouse addition that opened in 2024.
In 2016, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority backed the company’s move to Camden with an estimated annual award of $13,881,760 for a 10-year term – a nearly $139-million subsidy that had been one of the larger subsidies to attract businesses to move into the city.
Construction is expected to begin this month, and the facility will be completed in 2028, the company reported.
The latest expansion “will strengthen ResinTech’s manufacturing capacity, support future growth, and create new employment opportunities in Camden,” the company reported on Monday.
ResinTech also owns ActionPak Inc. on River Avenue in Camden and reported combined employment of 368 in Camden in the first six months of 2026.
The City of Camden reporting, mandatory for all who employ 25 or more in the city, showed that 36% of the company’s employees are Camden residents – a percentage far higher than other larger businesses in the city.
Adding jobs is not the only goal, the company said.
“As a fair-chance employer, the company offers residents with criminal records a pathway to stable, local employment,” the company said in its announcement.
