Plans to bring an all-residential building to a site near one of Orange’s two train stations could be approved this month.
The Orange Planning Board is scheduled to hear an application for a development with 87 residential units at 448 and 452 Scotland Road during its virtual meeting on Wednesday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m.
The proposal from Scotland Holdings RSBRM Urban Renewal, LLC involves a seven-story building with 33 one-bedroom units, 54 two-bedroom units, and both indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, according to a notice of hearing. The lower two floors would reportedly contain 85 parking spaces.
Jersey Digs first reported back in March that development could be in store for this site, which is located by the corner of Mountainview Avenue not far from the Highland Avenue train station. This is one of multiple developments to be proposed in the vicinity of the station recently, but most of the others have been for properties situated across the tracks in the Valley neighborhood.
