New condos are going up at 213-215 Bay Street next to old La Conguita (new White Star) space. Although there is little information about the project, city records indicate it will house 38 units and 40 parking spaces with no retail or office component. Zoning doesn’t allow retail on this block but that’s a shame considering it’s adjacent to one of downtown Jersey City’s main retail corridors.
The property is owned by an LLC whose address links back to La Conga which would likely indicate that the same owner is developing the property.
