Journal Squared (J2) is a three-tower luxury rental complex at 615 Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City's Journal Square, developed by KRE Group and designed by Handel Architects and Hollwich Kushner (HWKN). The project broke ground in October 2014; Tower 1 (54 stories, 538 units) began leasing in 2017, Tower 2 (68 stories, the tallest at 754 feet) opened in 2021, and Tower 3 (60 stories, approximately 600 units) completed in July 2024, bringing the total to approximately 1,840 residential units. Located directly above the Journal Square PATH station, the complex offers over 100,000 square feet of amenities across all three towers, including multiple pools, sky lounges, fitness centers with a bouldering wall and boxing ring, and a Winter Garden. Journal Squared ranks among the tallest buildings in Jersey City.
