Construction is underway for a new smoothie and juice bar in uptown Hoboken, as an established company with three other New Jersey locations is expanding into the Mile Square City.

Jungle Juice, which currently has locations in Cranford, Madison, and Morristown, will be taking up residence at 1016 Washington Street. The business purchased the first-floor retail condominium at the property earlier this year and the city’s Planning Board granted approvals in July for the project. Hoboken-based Nastasi Architects is responsible for the design work.

The menu will consist of health-conscious smoothies that use non-fat yogurt, plus a plethora of vegetable juices. Their organic wheatgrass shots are a highlight and, for those with a sweet tooth, the store features milkshakes with skim milk for a healthier version of the treat.

Jungle Juice will also have acai and pitaya bowl options for customers, which consist of different whole fruit or vegetable mixes with other ingredients like granola, honey, or peanut butter.

Renovation work is in full swing, and one of the owners of Jungle Juice told Jersey Digs in an email that they are aiming to open their Hoboken location in Spring 2018.
