According to City records, the latest building to be planned for the residential area between Journal Square and McGinley Square could come to 28 Vroom Street, between Baldwin Avenue and Summit Avenue, in Ward C’s Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Zone.

The project proposals by developer Vroom St. Development Corp. call for the development to be five stories tall, and for 24 residential units to be included within. Although an architect for the development is not listed, the website for LWDMR Architects, which is based out of Downtown Jersey City features a rendering of the proposal, which shows that several units will include decks and that there will be a landscaped outdoor patio on the second floor that can be reached using a staircase from the street level.

Vroom St. Development Corp. acquired the property in January 2016 from a Bergen-Lafayette resident for $999,000, according to NJ Parcels records. The company is registered out of a house in Freehold Township, Monmouth County.

The property, which is located within walking distance of several business districts, NJ Transit bus service to Manhattan and neighborhoods throughout Jersey City, and the Journal Square PATH station, long contained a multi family house and a small parking area.
